Behind The Scenes: 80's Aerobics Photoshoot

Wonder what goes on behind the scenes of a photoshoot inspired by the iconic aerobics fitness craze of the 80s? Well, pull up your leg warmers and get ready to dive into the world of leotards, bright tights, and all things retro fitness. It's time to get physical!

This photoshoot was our first branded shoot and we had so many ideas, it was almost overwhelming. We knew we wanted to do a photoshoot that showcased the perfect blend of strength and femininity. The 80s aerobic craze and the iconic Jane Fonda hold a special place in our heart, and we realized we just had to debut our company with a tribute to all our 700s/80s aerobics ladies.  

Because let's face it, who says you can't be a powerhouse while rocking a killer leotard and leg warmers? The goal was to highlight that being strong is not only empowering but also incredibly sexy. It's all about embracing your inner fitness icon!

We were so excited as the team to try and capture our own version of the essence of 80s fitness fashion. From scrunchy socks to sweatbands, every detail was meticulously planned to transport viewers back to the era of Jane Fonda workout videos.

Once we chose our theme and vibe, our second step was to find models to bring the idea to life. Our founder was able to gather some of her fellow Pilates Instructors and friends and have a fun girls afternoon in the studio! We thought that this was the perfect idea to highlight the strength of women in the fitness industry and also who doesn't just want to dance to music, eat pizza, and take fun pictures with their friends? 

Once we got the models, the moodboard, photography team, and the studio space, it was time to PARTY!
